- There are a number of company's that are trading in imported trolleys that do not conform to the European standards, and have been banned by OFCOM. If they can not provide you with proof that the trolley has passed the tests from a UK notified body or UK test house, then it is likely that they do not conform to the EU directives. A CE certificate from a foreign test house does not prove compliance.
- Our range of remote controlled golf trolleys, have passed the latest R&TTE and EMC tests. This is a legal requirement before they can be sold within the European Union.
- The R&TTE test is to make sure the Transmitter conforms to the very stringent guidelines set out by the European Union, and policed by OFCOM. The tests are to ensure that the transmitter is within the designed safety limits, and therefore will not interfere with any other equipment in the vicinity where it is used.
- The EMC test is to make sure the other components on the trolley (Power sources, Motors and Electrical equipment) are not capable of causing electrical noise, capable of interfering with any other equipment near by.
- In addition to gaining the required certification, it is a requirement from the EU Representative (ProTrolley) to correctly label, the transmitter, the trolley and packaging to prove that the equipment is certified for use in the market. With every trolley you will receive a Declaration of Conformity, which is a document that details where the trolley was tested and provides trace ability.
