other modern equipment that has made our game more enjoyable

What a fantastic performance by Tom Lewis to secure his first Pro win in only his 4th start on the European Tour ! Lewis becomes the latest “new kid on the block” following Rory McIlroy, in taking the Tour by storm. Its the same in America with Fowler , Simpson ,Watney ,Woodland , Cauley and others all suddenly bursting into the public eye. Why are we seeing so many new faces ? Well one opinion is that with Tiger having experienced so many problems, they now realise that they can win tournaments, instead of feeling they were playing for second place , as was the case when Tiger was so dominant.

I am not sure that Tiger is washed up yet , but if and when he returns to something like his former game, he will find he doesn’t scare these guys. Exciting times for us all whatever happens !

Change happens in the game all the time and we should embrace it , just as we have with our Electric Golf Trolleys, and other modern equipment that has made our game more enjoyable. The GT300R Golf Trolley from Protrolley is a perfect example of modern equipment that has changed our game , as we can now stroll along behind our trolley , remotely controlling its movement with the pocket size controller.

Check out its functions and many other new pieces of golfing equipment at www. Protrolley.com

Happy golfing !!

If you want to play your best, you should definitely consider getting one right away

Gone are the days of struggling around the course with a heavy bag of clubs on your back or tugging a trolley behind you , sapping your valuable energy which would be far better used for your swing. Modern golf has embraced the electric trolley with open arms. Easy to use, lightweight and efficient many golfers now see them as the most essential piece of equipment they have.

Pushing or pulling a self- propelled trolley puts strain on muscles that need to be in good shape to execute a successful shot , and at the very least drains energy, leading to under performance. These wonderful machines are no longer the luxury item of old , and at Protrolley you will find a range to suit all needs , including a range of remote controlled golf trolleys.

If you want to play your best, you should definitely consider getting one right away, and start to enjoy walking the course with no strain on back, shoulders etc.

It’s a wonderful feeling to finish the round fresh and able to perform to your best. It’s the other guy who is handicapping himself by straining away , whilst you stroll along , relaxed and fresh. Enjoy !!

What can be better than a good game of golf on a bright, sunny morning? Well, as most golf-lovers would agree on this--there’s nothing more exhilarating than teeing off with one good shot after the other!

What can be better than a good game of golf on a bright, sunny morning? Well, as most golf-lovers would agree on this–there’s nothing more exhilarating than teeing off with one good shot after the other! But often, you do find yourself wishing that you could have outdone your partner if only your arms, wrists, shoulders and back hadn’t been screaming out with pain and exhaustion. Golf can be a very tiring game and there’s always a fair chance of being strained and overworked, as it demands a lot of strenuous physical activity, so much that you really wish there was someone to carry you or at least your golf clubs back home!

Well, pull golf trolleys which have become a much needed accessory for golfers for quite some time now, do seem to ease your pain a bit. Going easy on the pocket as well, they are certainly able to carry golf clubs, bags and all giving you a breather from carrying them on your tired back, giving you more scope to use your energy in hitting more shots. But then again, you do need to pull it all by yourself, manually that is. All that energy you retained at the end of the day will go wasted in maneuvering the golf trolley, where you could have hit those shots further! Your lower back and spinal chord will also not thank you for the strain and pain that they are subjected to at the end of the day!

Well, all is not lost! Remote Controlled Golf Trolley is the ultimate solution to all these problems, the greatest invention since golf clubs you might say! This is certainly the next generation of golf trolley that runs on battery and by remote control and requires no manual labour or intervention. A remote controlled golf trolley is very compact so that it saves you the anxiety and trouble of having to deal with huge and heavy golf trolleys. Most of these remote controlled golf trolley are designed in such a way that they can be folded, bent and dumped anywhere you want, using very little space and effort as well. It has a very powerful engine that could make it go on for more than 12 miles and well over 18 holes. Thereby, being compact, comfortable yet powerful, a remote controlled golf trolleyis just the thing that a golfer would need on a bright sunny morning as he prepares himself for a good game of golf.

And if you have been racking your poor brains worrying about all the complexities and detailed intricacies you might have to deal with to operate this remote controlled golf trolley, you are in for a surprise. Remote controlled golf trolleys are very easy to use and have all the features of a pull or push trolley and actually even more than that. It’s easy to handle, easy to operate, easy to carry around, easy on the space and weight, and lasts for a good many years without you having to spend a fortune on repairs and faults.

A remote controlled golf trolley is the ultimate among all the other manual golf trolleys and how! From carrying golf bags weighing over 20 kgs to moving almost anywhere around the golf course with much ease and comfort, it can do it all, lending a breather for your frayed nerves. A remote controlled golf trolley is thus the perfect companion for every golf-lover, helping them to get in shape and in tune to get that perfect swing and to hit the perfect shot, adding up to the many moments that one cherishes in a good game of golf on a bright, sunny morning.

As the game of golf is gaining popularity over the world and becoming more and more competitive with every passing day, several new pieces of assistive equipment have been introduced to enhance a golfer’s performance, and making the game better

Â

As the game of golf is gaining popularity over the world and becoming more and more competitive with every passing day, several new pieces of assistive equipment have been introduced to enhance a golfer’s performance, and making the game better. These items not only help a golfer decide on how to make the correct swing but some also help reduce a golfer’s fatigue and injuries to help him perform better. The golf trolley is one such piece of equipment. In present day golf, this item has become a necessity for any serious minded golfer as opposed to just an item of style and luxury. A golf trolley helps to reduce the stress of carrying the heavy golf bag around and thus relaxes the shoulder, lower back and neck helping a golfer to concentrate more on the game without having to worry about the tiredness and injury.

However, like all equipment, a golf trolley also needs proper maintenance to function perfectly in the long run. It needs to be cleaned properly, the wheels need to be cleared of mud and debris which accumulates during the long sessions on a lush green course, the clutch needs to be cleaned, and so on. Failing to do so might cause the golf trolley to malfunction and leave its owner stranded in the middle of a game.

Although a golf trolley requires all these maintenance steps to function properly, the main area of concern for its performance remains the battery. The battery is the primary source of power for the golf trolley and it requires proper maintenance and proper charging methods for a long lasting performance, and in turn helping the golf trolley to perform better. It is essential for the proud owner of a golf trolley to know how to properly maintain its battery for the optimum utilisation of the equipment.

The primary step for maintaining the battery for a golf trolley is proper methods of charging. Special care should be taken to ensure that the battery is being charged in the correct method. For this purpose, it is important to know that a battery life will depend on certain factors. They are the frequency of use, the number of holes played in each round of the game, the type of the golf course i.e. whether it’s hilly or flat, the weight of the bag and clubs that the golf trolley would carry across the course for the entire stretch of the game and, of course, the battery age. A new battery should be charged for at least 24 hours to activate it before using, even if the “charge complete light comes on before the time is over. A battery should do fine for 18 holes. Using it for more than that without charging might discharge and damage the battery. So after every game it should be properly charged. It is definitely not recommended to keep the battery connected to the charger with the mains switched off. In the case that the golf trolley is not required to be used for a long time, the battery should be stored properly. It should be fully charged, removed from the charger and stored in a place having a temperature between ten to thirty degrees Celsius. It should be recharged every three months at least.

A golf trolley requires a ‘deep cycle golf battery’. The term ‘deep cycle,’ put simply, means a battery that is designed to store a lot of energy, which can be drained and then recharged over and over again.

In contrast, a starting battery, which is used in a car, is designed to deliver a quick burst of energy, but never become very drained, as it is continually charged up by the car’s alternator. It is very important to only use a deep cycle battery on your trolley with the correct type of charger as a car charger will shorten your golf trolley battery’s life very considerably.

The life of your battery will depend on how you treat / maintain your battery :-

When your battery arrives from ProTrolley it may not be fully charged, we do advise that you immediately give it a top up charge for a few hours before you use it on the trolley

Only use the correct charger which was supplied by ProTrolley or one specifically designed for deep cycle GEL/AGM batteries. It must say that it is a two or three stage (step) charger. That is because there must be a very low maintenance charge to keep your battery in peak condition.

Do not leave your battery in a discharged state; always put it on charge immediately after your round of golf. Please do not leave it on the maintenance charge for very long periods over the winter without use

Do not store your battery in ‘extreme’ conditions, either very cold or very hot.

Every four or five rounds check that your golf trolley battery is in good working order, check the terminals are tight and clean.
