It is definitely not recommended to keep the battery connected to the charger with the mains switched off. In the case that the golf trolley is not required to be used for a long time, the battery should be stored properly. It should be fully charged, removed from the charger and stored in a place having a temperature between ten to thirty degrees Celsius. It should be recharged every three months at least.
